The work pretends to be a documentation of the subway in Hong Kong. Abstracting the images of the subway and eluding their everyday function Calderon attempts to imply a fictional narrative to the space. Editing the photographic material to form a linear sequence together with a soundtrack, she reinforces a fiction of her own making.

The absence of people and historical or cultural references further emphasize the simple but powerful effect of these spaces beyond their function as architecture. The quality of these spaces are a kind of subject in and of themselves, each station has a different colour that is exercised in a thorough way. This means that each station is, in effect, a character more so than a scenography. The emptying of the image of people and other references is to play with this impulse of defining places as bodies, organisms that are traversed.
