The Factory is the Place Where Shit Is Made

In this project, artist Yamile Calderón explores the city of Moss as a post-industrial landscape. Through photography, video, and sculpture, she raises critical questions about what happens when factories close – and how such changes affect both local communities and the identity of a place.

Calderón is particularly interested in how social structures and identities have evolved after the decline of industry. What kind of future awaits former industrial sites like the old Peterson factory? Who are the new inhabitants of Moss? And what truly defines the city’s identity today?
