Las Stop Mortensrud / Siste stasjon Mortensrud

This project, commissioned by the City of Oslo Art Collection, is a site-specific endeavor by artist Yamile Calderón. Over the course of two years, Calderón has photographed a selection of locations spanning from Mortensrud to Rudshøgda. The aim of the project has been to explore these local neighborhoods and capture them at a particular moment in time, preserving their essence for future generations.

The primary objective is to provide a new perspective on an area often negatively portrayed by the media, shedding new light on Mortensrud and its surroundings. The project culminated in an exhibition at Mortensrud Square from September to December 2023, followed by a display at Anne-Cath. Vestlys Plass from January to March 2024. Additionally, an artist book was released in Demo Mortensrud in December 2023, with a Book Launch event at Deichmann Bjørvika in January 2024.
